Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port or Port Everglades is located In Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida. It is the 3rd ranked among cruise ports worldwide and has more homeported cruise ships than any other port.
We have sailed from Fort Lauderdale on a number of occasions and found it very convenient to use. When boarding Allure of the Seas (at the time the largest cruise ship in the world) we went from Kerb to The Royal Promenade in less than 30mins which is remarkable given the number of passengers involved but the terminals are very well designed and operated.
There are 8 cruise terminals at Port Everglades Each air-conditioned cruise terminal is fully accessible and offers free Wi-Fi, snack and beverage machines, restrooms and comfortable seating.
Where is Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port?
Port Everglades is located in the heart of Broward County on the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula. The Port is accessible by car, taxi, bus and rail. Proper Identification for those 18 and older, such as state-issued driver’s license or passport, is required and your vehicle may be subject to search.

Port Everglades has three entrances:

The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is just minutes away from Port Everglades on U.S. 1 and is served by most major airlines. Although it’s a short distance, we suggest you allow at least 45 minutes between flight arrival and cruise check-in time to claim luggage and fill out forms at the terminal. The Miami International Airport is 30-45 minutes south of Port Everglades via I-95.

Brightline (Virgin Trains USA from mid 2020)
Brightline is a privately-owned passenger rail system that provides express premium train service connecting Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, and will soon connect with Orlando. Fare from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Port Everglades is typically around $15. If you purchased an air/sea travel package, transfers are usually included. For a taxi from the Port to downtown Fort Lauderdale, expect to pay about $18 to $20, depending on your destination.
